Day 35:


Words I live by and why I like them. 




John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.


Pretty simple.

This is the Gospel, in a nutshell. This is the reason that I'm alive! The Lord loved, has loved, still loves, and will love the world. Not the planet. The people! He didn't stop with just loving us, He knew we were in trouble....lots of trouble. Instead of letting us just..deal with it, He sent His Son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sin. The punishment for our trouble. Death.

After Jesus conquered death, the Lord didn't stop there..



He offers us a free gift. And not just any gift..ETERNAL LIFE..

Review..

God loves us. Mean, lying, cheating, stealing, murdering us. He loved us enough to offer up His own Son to die in our place. Then, He turned around and offered us the gift of eternal life too. Wow.

The Lord can't be beat at gift-giving ;)

It should be kinda obvious why I like..no, LOVE these words!
