We definitely don't 'cheese out' when it comes to communication fads. In fact, we make sure everyone has multiple ways to communicate and social networking is the 'jackpot'.
I recently read a friends' blog. Anna. Such a great blog! I totally recommend it! Really! And I totally and completely agree with her. I recently got a Twitter...why? Well, because everyone else is getting into it. I'm gonna confess (just like she did) I seek approval. She's totally right..lots of people deal with that problem. So, with Facebook..and the 'likes' and 'comments' stuff, we're all hoping to achieve some amount of "yeah, you're cool" in the eyes of others . We're so focused on gaining someone else's approval..that we completely forget what our Creator thinks of us! Don't get me wrong, Facebook is a cool way to communicate and I still use mine frequently. However, letting it become so important to have the right "image" is when Facebook may not be good or cool anymore.
Twitter is like Facebook in that you can post and privately message, but there are no comments or 'likes'. Honestly, I enjoy tweeting. I don't have to come and check up on comments and there's no need to have a mini-debate to defend your point if someone ever disagreed. Hashtags are definitely fun..#tweettweet. Eventually, I think I'll become a tweeter..and a tweeter alone. Until then follow me..ReBek96 :)
