Bek's Review: The Vow

As y'all know, I've literally been dying to see The Vow, and finally, I went to see it last night with Rach.

The company was great, hahaha.

Sadly, I can't exactly say the same for the movie.

Spoiler Alert!:

Overall, the movie was alright. There were just a few aspects that didn't settle very well with me.

The movie is an adaption of a real-life event. Obviously, the couple is in a car wreck. The wife loses her memory. Etc.

I've read reviews and, apparently, the movie is nothing like the book.

The "real-life" couple, Kim and Krickitt (cool name), are actually Christians. If you've seen The Vow, you're aware that that fact isn't made known. I've read elsewhere that, other than the movie character "Paige" losing her memory, pretty much nothing else in the film follows the couples' book.

That sorta makes me wonder.

When I left the theater I was thinking that it was only the way it was because they were trying to follow the book. Then, I find out that that isn't the case at all. Like I said earlier, the movie was ok..but something about it just seemed..disconnected. Almost like it needed more.

I'm not sad I saw it. I think I just got my hopes up way too high. Lately, I tend to do that :P

Now, it's time to start throwing all my enthusiasm into waiting for The Hunger Games. Hopefully, it'll be good!

All I can say, is.."may the odds be ever in my favor".. ;)
