childhood quirks.

Day 56:

Something I did as a child that people remember me for.

Well, when I was seven years old my family went on vacation to Williamsburg, Virginia. The resort/timeshare thing we were staying at had a pool..and I loved swimming..or at least..my six year old version of swimming. I'd jump in and my dad would basically keep me from drowning..

I must've jumped in 50 times..it was just so much fun. Then, my (at the time) two year old sister decided she wanted to jump in..at the same time that I was. I jumped. She jumped.

My dad got my sister..

You know when you're in a pool or lake..and you reach that point where your feet can barely touch the bottom. I was at the point, but the water was covering my nose..

I freaked out.

My mom was sitting in a chair reading a magazine. I'll never forget..while I was thrashing around like a lunatic trying to get my head above the water..my mom glanced up..then looked right back down.

I later found out she thought I was joking around.

When I finally got my head high enough above the water, I yelled 'help!'

When they got me out, I refused to talk to any of them. After all they had picked my sister over me..:P

My mom to this day still thinks I was messing around..

That's my childhood quirk..

The girl who cried drowning..
